FDA Advisory Committee Just Voted on Peptides. What Happened Today and Why It Matters.

Today something happened that I have never seen before in this space. I watched live as a formal FDA advisory committee voted in favor of four of the most researched peptides in the wellness and longevity world for inclusion on the official list that creates a clear legal compounding pathway through licensed pharmacies and real doctor prescriptions. BPC-157. KPV. TB-500. And MOTS-c.

These peptides are currently available through licensed telehealth providers with real doctor supervision. Today’s vote is about creating an even more formally recognized pathway going forward. Nothing changes for people currently on a protocol. Today is a validation of what has already been happening not a starting point.

.

I also share something that happened during today’s hearing that stopped me cold. A physician on the committee who voted in favor of these peptides shared a story about a patient whose research grade peptide was later tested and found to be laced with MDMA. That story alone is worth the listen.
